It was late at night.. the snow was still coming down at a steady pace.. The pair became stranded on the side of a small two lane road..

“Well this is the perfect place to run out of gas” Martin said to Ashley.

Ashley looked at her boyfriend. “Its gonna be ok. we just gotta stay warm and find a gas station.” She commented in a calm tone.

“Do you know where we are?” Inquired Martin.

“Yeah were on the side of a road, we need to walk for a while to get our barings, maybe we will come across a road sign that will be of some help” Ashley said, adding some logic to the situation.

“What time is it?” Ashley asked her boyfriend.

Martin pulled out his cell phone from his pocket. He studied the face and proclaimed “its half past eleven”.

“Ok, thanks” Ashley replied.

Martin began to calm down. His panic state subsided, and he was starting to enjoy himself. It was unfortunate that his car ran out of gas. He looked around at the countryside blanketed by the snow. It was really pretty. .
