The pair had been walking for quite some time. They have remained quiet, lost in thier own thoughts. Eventhough they had been walking side by side, they were miles away from eachother.

“Hey Martin, what time is it?” Ashley asked finally breaking the silence.

Lets see.. he said welcoming the inquest. Martin looked down at his phone as he pulled it out of his pocket.
“its almost one” He proclaimed.

“We have been walking for almost two hours” Megan replied.

“I guess” said Martin. He hasn’t really been keeping track. Just focused on walking aimlessly along in hopes they approach a gas station.

“I am surprised we have not seen any cars pass” Ashley said in a quizzical tone.

“Well it is late at night” Martin retorted.

“Maybe we should have stayed in the car until daybeak.. you know conserve our energy” Martin suggested. He was trying to formulate an idea of where they were and where they were headed.

“Ashley, are you ok your really quiet?” He asked

“Yeah im fine” She replied
