Sora heard the man stagger backwards. She chuckled softly and put her hair behind her shoulder.
“Are you ashamed of being detected by a blind girl?” she said, smiling in spite of herself.
He remained silent.
“Well, what do you have to say for yourself?” she asked, in a sterner tone.
“I’m supposed to kill you.”
“For what reason?”
“For me to live.”
“And the reason is?”
“I’m a vampire.”

The man raised an eyebrow. This girl was certainly different. “You’re not surprised?”
“Not really. I knew you guys existed, though you didn’t want to come out. A blind person can hear many things normal people don’t hear, and visualize things that aren’t normally there,” Sora explained.
There was some more silence.
Suddenly, Sora stretched out her hands and put them on the young man’s cheeks.
She pulled his face close to hers, staring at him with milky eyes.
