Truth About Sora

“You know, you and your mother don’t look alike,” Aysen remarked.
“Ah, I knew you would say that,” Sora said, smiling bitterly. “That’s because she’s not my real mom.”
“What?” Aysen exclaimed.
“Sad truth—After I had my accident, which turned me blind, my real father thought I wouldn’t be able to handle the cooperation I was supposed to inherit. So, he sold me, instead,” Sora said grimly.
“He sold you?!” Aysen sat down.
“Yep,” Sora laughed mirthlessly. “It’s ironic, too, because I have three biological siblings.”
Three?” Aysen gasped.
“Yeah. They didn’t put up a struggle at all, when I was supposed to be ‘expelled’,” Sora said. “I don’t care about genes, though. My only real brother is the one I have in this family. He practically raised me.”

“You know, Sora…”
“Hmm?”
“There’s more to you than meets the eye,” Aysen said. He hugged her close.

Sora was startled at first, but then returned his hug.
“That’s nice of you to say.”
