Ah, Love. Wait! No.. I Already Loved You.
It was the wind, it was the fucking wind!
Because I am loosing my mind, I thought I might as well do it thoroughly. So, I told Tom to come on over. I cleaned up while I was waiting for him, pulling on some decent clothes and washing my face. Then, I went to answer the door, but Tom was already standing there.
“Oh,” I startled. He had let himself in. And then I saw the look on his face. “Jesus! Tom.. shit. what’s going on? Tom? Do you need something?”
Pulling him onto the couch gently was no easy feat but somehow I managed. His eyes were so lost.. so, so.. empty.
“Tom?” I whispered gently, today was just not my day.
“Ashley,” he remembered and then threw his arms around me. I fell back and suddenly we were lying on the couch, him on top of me.
My eyes searched his again. But all I could see was my own reflection in them. It was like he could only see me. Only me, me, me. “Tom?”
He shook his head, giving me an accidental eskimo kiss.
“D-d-do you love me?” I asked, “O-or are you still in love with me?”
