“Tom..I…..I can’t say. I mean, with Jack and everything..It’s just…” I heard Ashley say.
“It took me four days to get here, and you haven’t even seen Jack” I strained.
“But what about Brandy?” She said. “I thought you guys were okay.”
“I realized that I didn’t want Brandy. She isn’t like you. I need you.”
“Tom, listen.” She said, putting a gentle hand on my arm. “Give it another-”
She stopped, because a single tear drop dropped from my eye to her cheek.
