The Jonas Robbery Part 18: X-Ray
“This is Nick, and this is Joe.”
Mom laughed. Dad still looked confused, as if he didn’t believe it.
“Emily, it’s the Jonas Brothers!” Mom exclaimed. “Oh my God,” Dad mumbled.
I tried to keep my cool. “Yeah, I know.”
“You should be thanking them. They saved my life,” I said again.
Joe and Kevin smiled. They all looked slightly embarrassed.
“Thank you, thank you,” said both my parents.
Just then, the doctor walked in. “Okay, I’m going to have to have everyone clear out so I have room to examine this young lady’s ankle. Then we need to get her to X-Ray. Go sit in the waiting room and the nurse will let you know when you can come back in,” he instructed without looking up from his chart.
“We’ll stay with you in the waiting room,” Joe said to my mom.
“Okay,” Mom replied, still smiling.
Everybody left. I was taken down for an X-Ray and everything else. The results came back that my ankle was indeed broken.
