My Deepest Regret(Challenge)

“Hey, Mrs. Bleau. I got accepted to Sullivan and wait-listed for SUNY Brockport. I think I’m going to Sullivan though.” “The community college, right?” inquired Ms. Bleau. “Yeah. I still want my BA though.” It was summer, the air was warm. I’m a senior and it’s not much more left. Yeah my grades are bad, I thought, but I still got accepted. I still can achieve one of my dreams. As I come home to deliver the good news, a thought came into my mind. What if I can’t do it? No, don’t think like that. You can and will.

As I told my parents, I received the reaction I least suspected, skepticism. “You didn’t do that well in high school. What do you think you will do in college?” my father asked. I felt my blood begin to boil. “You should go to a college in the city. It’s a lot of money to go away and I’m not paying for you to screw up,” my mother added. I know they have my back but they are not taking me seriously. Even going to that particular high school was a mistake, but I’ll rectify that.
