Trapped like a zebra. (Is that even an expression?)

“Oh my God!” I yelled. I tried to run to Aibfinnia in the cramped space, but it was too late. The stones had already covered most of her legs.
“Rainn…” she said right before she passed out from the pain.
“Oh no,” I whispered to myself. “No… no… no, no, no, no, no, no no no no no no no no!” Why did the rocks fall? And why in the world did they all miss me, but hit her?
I didn’t even get a chance to tell her…
I climbed over to the large pile of rocks and tried to pull her out, but the boulders were too heavy. I attempted to slide my card to open the door, but they were malfunctioning from the weight of the stones. I rammed my fist against the doors and screamed, praying that Olivia or Viridiana would hear me.
Even if they do hear me, how are they supposed to get in? I’m the only one with the access card…
Oh well, there’s no harm in trying, especially in a dire situation.
Then I heard a voice outside the door.
