It's All Yours
I was shocked. I did manage to keep a smile on my face and hold small talk conversations, but my mind hadn’t wrapped around the fact today was my brithday. I just couldn’t believe Blake had remembered something I hadn’t.
Everyone ate and danced some more. Towards the end of the night Blake pulled me away.
“I bought you a little something for your birthday.” He told me when we were alone. He pulled out a small box, wrapped in candy-apple red silk paper. Ha handed it over and I unwrapped it slowly, not wanting to damage the pretty paper.
I gasped. Inside was a snow-white diamond necklace. I unclasped the one I had on and let Blake put the new necklace around my neck. The metal was cold against my flushed skin. Turning around to face Blake I smiled and gave him a thank-you kiss.
“There’s something else.” Blake said.
“Blake. Really. You’ve given me all I could ask for.” I said with a laugh.”
“One last thing.” Blake insisted. “The room you got dressed in is yours. Along with everything inside.”
