I like it. It gives more depth and character to the character’s ‘quiet life’ that I eluded and explains, in some part, why he was ready to do something crazy and desperate. This all even hints at why he might then be crushed and cry as the woman is taken away by the paramedics. Great job taking the other pieces and adding a coherent bit of depth to it all, new information without being contradictory.
