Just A Small Bruise
I sat there playing my guitar not really paying attention to what was going on. I was totally embarassed about the fall at the concert hall. And what’s worse I was in serious pain. I hadn’t mentioned it but when I hit the stage I hit it pretty hard on my left leg. There was a bruise forming on it.
“Hey, you guys want some soda?” Joe asked, getting up.
“Sure.” said Emily.
When Joe walked over to the refrigerator he accidentaly bumped into my leg.
“Oww!” I cried. I couldn’t help it.
“Aww, come on Wes. I barely touched you.” he said, smiling. Then he looked closely at me. “Wes, did you hurt yourself when you fell?”
“Um, no.” I lied hiding my leg with my guitar.
Kevin got up. “Wes.”
“Well, a little-its nothing just a small bruise.”
“Let me see.” Kevin said.
“I’m fine. I promise.” I assured him.
“Wes, let me see!” he insisted.
I sighed and moved the guitar from my leg. The bruise was highly visible because I was wearing shorts.
“That’s a small bruise?” Nick asked.
“OMJ.” Emily said.
“Well-”
