A Two Person Monologue
“Okay, I’m sitting. Now, what the hell is going on?!”
Well, where should I start? she said. This was really going to take some getting used to. Hopefully, she wouldn’t be staying.
“The beginning would be nice. And can you do something about this headache?”
Sorry. At least she sounded sympathetic. It’s caused by your brain rewiring itself to accept my memories on top of yours._
“Excuse me?!” What was going on?!
Look, I’m sorry about all this. Your body wasn’t my choice. If it was, I certainly wouldn’t have chosen a musician, and definitely would have picked a woman. She sounded really annoyed. And it’s no picnic for me, either.
Nice, I thought to myself. Just piss off the voices in your head. “So, what’s the deal?”
Like I said, it’s a long story.
“Should I get a drink?”
No! That shout doubled the pain in my head. Sorry, but alcohol makes things… um… difficult.
“How difficult?” I asked.
Like ‘I don’t know which personality will take control’ difficult.
Oh, lovely.
