Escaping the Castle
I looked out over the crowd. I could see many scared faces. I turned towards the Queen and whispered, “Shouldn’t we go to a bomb shelter or something?”
Queen Lily looked a me and answered simply, “Those are not bombs shaking my home, they are the dragons.”
I was shocked, though I knew I shouldn’t have been. Blake was, afterall, a dragon himself!
The castle shook a few more times before Blake came running towards us. “You two with me.” He said pointing at me and his mother. To everyone else he said, “If everyone will please move quickly and quietly to our safe room, you will all be alright.”
With that he took off brisckly the way he had come and Queen Lily and I scurried after him. In the hall he took a sharp turn and then another. Many seconds later, we arrived at a door out of breath. We rested a few minutes then proceed through the door and out onto a huge balcony.
“Okay.” Blake said. “Ready?”
“For what??” I asked afraid.
“I’ll get you two out of here and then return to fight. Hop on.”
