A Perfect Date
He arrives early. He gets out of his car and you greet one another.
In the front seat of his car, he hands you a basket of candy, a chocloate bunny and the cutest yellow plush rabbit.
You didn’t get him a gift, but your heart melts at his sweet thoughfulness.
At the mall you spend the afternoon walking, sitting, talking and eating. You doing more than your fair share of the talking.
You buy him a smoothie, he buys you eggrolls.
You share some of the candy he bought you.
You brouse in a book store and a hat shop.
Periodically he needs a smoke and you both go outside in the breezy first day of spring air.
At the restuarant, you have soup, salad, eggplant, breadsticks, fondue, lemonade and cheesecake. You finish his dessert too.
He pays the bill.
You both laugh a lot.
You go to a friends house, have tea, cookies and watch tv.
He drives you home. Up the street from your house, you kiss him on the lips and hope he doesn’t think you’re too forward.
He asks for a second date. Of course you say yes.
