The Party Complete (XXI)

There was a knock at the door and Castus entered. “Oh, good, you’re all here,” he said, smiling. “If you would come this way, Master Adrovan is waiting in the dining area.”

“Castus?” Rob asked. I nodded. “God,” he whispered, “he looks like even more of a dork than you described!”

“Rob!” I hissed. “These are our hosts. Try and show a little decorum, please?” He laughed. Dwarves. Go figure.

The others were absolutely stunned that we were actually here. They wanted to see everything in the tower. But we had been summoned, and couldn’t very well dawdle.

We came into the dining hall where Adrovan was waiting with a fully stocked table. “Ah! Wonderful!” he exclaimed. “You’re all here. Now, sit, eat. And then, I will tell you five…”

“Excuse me, sir,” I interrupted. “There’s only the four of us.”

“Christ, Dave,” a voice said from behind us. “You’re the DM, and you still can’t count!”

Before I could turn around, I heard Jaime squeal. She didn’t squeal! That meant…

Alex?!

Now, the party was complete.
