My Faith
I drive way too fast. I knew it, I knew it. I knew he would be bad.
I drive around the corner to his house to see Faith sitting on the curb, holding back tears. I hop out of the car and run to her, wrapping my arms around her. She digs her head into my shoulder and begins crying.
“What happened?” I ask.
“His parents weren’t home…and he tried to kiss me….he pulled me to the couch…”She says between sniffs. That’s all I need to hear. If I wanted to hurt him before, I want to kill him now.
I look up to see him running to the street towards us. I stand up, Faith gets behind me.
“What the hell are you doing here Bernard? This is mine and Faith’s date.”
I walk up to him, put my left hand on his shoulder and say, “That’s great.”
I tightened my hand on his shirt and sock him in the face with my right hand. He falls back.I grab his shirt and pull him up.
I whisper in his ear,”No one takes advantage of my Faith. Including freaks like you.”
I took Faith and we drive to the lake.
