Yes, somehow I feel that this is a more realistic ending! Maybe if the trilogy ended this way people would stop saying Empire Strikes Back is the best movie of the three.

It does work when you consider that eventually Luke does temporarily turn to the dark side. This just kind of speeds up the whole process. Very nicely executed.

The only part I don’t like of this is the last phrase “we have a galaxy to run”… sounds a little cheesy to me. But that’s just being too picky, and overall it’s very well written and I agree more realistic.
