I fix up my suit at a mirror. I am everything I wanted to become. In my army suit I look strong. The way I stand makes me look even stronger. I wanted to defend my country. I wanted to make something of myself. My life was going nowhere fast and I wasn’t becoming who I wanted to. So I changed and joined the army. Sure it was hard work and becoming sober made it even harder. I think it is way worth it. I may get injured out there in Iraq but I am defending our freedoms. I may even die, but I am doing what I was meant to do in my life. Don’t pity me, be proud of what I have become.
