Macy 24: Macon's Visit

But an afternoon would not be complete without Macon intruding. He smirked when he saw Macy, but it faded at Derrick. “Damn, I was hoping to catch you alone. Had fun last time.”

“Leave now.” Macy snapped at him. And the grin returned.

“Easy for you to say. I could always just get Shane in on-”

“It won’t matter because Shane and I are not a thing.”

“Yeah, so. He can still do whatever as long as he has C’s in his classes. That’s my purpose for today. Check up on you.”

“Well, I don’t need checking.”

“Oh but you do. See, what if he wasn’t here? Then I could do this.” He lunged at her so quickly, pinning her down for a fraction of a second before Derrick kicked him off. Macon rolled in the grass, holding his chest. “Dammit.”

Derrick ignored him, helping Macy up. “Are you okay?” he asked. Macy just nodded, glaring at Macon.

She hissed under her breath at Macon, “I swear if I was stronger than you…”

Macon interrupted, “But you’re not.” And he chuckled, standing up to face them again.
