darling dinner date

“Ahem-hem,” Brady said with great confidence, breakin our awkward smiles at each other. “Oh, Brady, mrs. Michaels here used to be my best friend and next-oor neighbor when I was a little bit older than you!” he grinned at me again and Brady rolled his eyes. He seemed sweet, but not as accepting as a little boy SHOULD be.
“Well, I better get going. What do you want for dinner Brady?” Seth asked awkwardly. “You could come and enjoy a light evening at my home. Me and my husband hardly ever have any company,” I offered lightly, sounding stupid i presumed.
Brady muttered, “I wonder why?” I cut him a look to tone down his defiancy and he got the hint while Seth just laughed apologetically for his son’s behavior.
“Well, we wouldn’t mind, would we Brady-bear?” Brady just shook his head in response and Seth grinned.
“Dinner will be at 6:30.” I couldn’t help but blush, and that meant that this was going to be dangerous…
