Just A Little Forgetful

I looked around at lunch for Drew, something I’d never managed by the second day before. He waved, if a little over-enthusiastically, by the table he was sitting out. I headed over, sitting next to him. His smile never faded.
Him: How’s your day been so far?
Me: Good.
Him(over-enthusiastically again): Great!
I couldn’t help but smile at that. Drew was just so hard not to like. He said something about the Chemistry homework that I didn’t understand; I’d never been much of a science girl.
I suddenly thought of something.
Me:Hey, Drew, do you know of any good clothing stores around here? Me and Dad have a tendency to pack light when we make fast moves.
He nodded. Him:Yeah, you want me to take you there after school?
I gave him a critical look. Him: oh, right, yeah. I’ll write up some directions and give you them after school then, I guess.
There was suddenly an extremely girlish giggle as a girl sat down opposite Drew, smiling at him flirtatiously.
Her: Heeeey Drew, What’s up?
Him(sighing): Hi Amelia.
