I am Anima

I practically ran to the door when I heard the doorbell. Taking a deep breath I opened it and saw Jake smiling nervously.
“Hi,” he grinned.
“Hi,” I returned. After a moment of silence I said, “Um, shall we?”
“Sure, let’s go,” he responded and I stepped out onto the front steps, shutting the door behind me. And then I promptly froze. Oh. My. God.
“Wh- who’s car is that?” I asked, incredulous.
“Oh,” said Jake, “That’s Jesse’s Solara, his dad’s a business man at Toyota: he has lots of money. It was Jesse’s 16th birthday present. Nice, huh?”
I nodded, moving towards the snow white convertible. Now that was a car. Jake seemed slightly miffed about my infatuation with the car, “It’s not that expensive,” he muttered, “more then you’d ordinarily spend on a teenager’s car, but still.”
I hid my shocked expression quickly, “Right, sure. I don’t know anything about cars anyway. It just had that new convertible look to it or something.” He seemed more pleased with that as he held the side door open for me.
