The Mystery Deepens
This is crazy, I thought. I should just hang up.
“Don’t hang up, Mr. Hennesy. If you do, you will never be given this opportunity again.”
“OK,” I replied, “You’ve got my attention. What is this all about?”
“Not here. Not on this line. They may be listening in. Do you remember where you were the moment you lost all of that money? The restaurant?”
“Yeah?”
“Meet me there in two hours.” The line went dead.
I slowly walked back to my car wondering what I had just wandered into. I looked back and the yellow sign was gone.
