“You’ll find his heart?” my best friend asked me. I must of blushed because I felt my face sweltering up. The boy walked by me and smiled. Then, he winked. Did he really wink or did he get something in his eye?
“Did you see that?” I asked my best friend in excitement.
She wasn’t even paying attention.
“Look! They’re serving pizza today!” she said looking nervous.
Or was she paying attention? My best friend happens to babble off and talk about random things when she knows something I don’t.
“Tell me!” I said knowingly.
“Tell me now!”
She smiled and whispered in my ear. The boy likes me, well, duh. I knew already but what she whispered after was surprising. He was going to ask me to the dance. I was so excited but that soon ended when he came up to my best friend and asked HER to the dance.
