Go Home
The boy sat in the bleachers. He looked somewhat nervous. He was about to go up to bat for his team, The Tigers. He was number 2, just like his favorite baseball player Derek Jeter. The coach handed the boy a bat and he walked over to home plate. The pitcher threw a ball and it hit the boy right in the stomach. He lost his breath but kept on going. The pitcher threw another ball. “STRIKE ONE !” the umpire yelled. The boy started to panic but kept on going. The pitcher threw another ball. “STRIKE TWO !” It was the boy’s last chance he wanted to hit the ball right out of the park! The pitcher threw the ball, the boy looked up, and BAM ! He hit the ball right up into the air! “Go home” yelled the crowd. The boy ran on top notch speed right out of the field, right through the parking lot, down his street, and into his very own home. He sat down and started to cry. Why did they want him to go home? The crowd sat there astonished, why didn’t he score a run for his team?
