Macy 57: Give Up
Macy took a step back as Derrick moved aside. “Shut up Macon.” she hissed.
Derrick wondered, “Macy what is he talking about?”
Macon just smirked at her as she glared hard. “Was it me?” he asked again. “Or would you like me to list all the things I did? You know, memories are fun.” His fake-enthusiasm was clearly seen.
“Macon shut up. Now. You don’t need to explain all of those things for Derrick.” Macy continued.
But Macon smiled wider and said, “Oh, but they’re for you to remember. Not him. He wasn’t there any of those times. To save you, was he? And so I’m wondering who was it that saved you from all of those bad, bad things? Hmm.”
Macy glared at him and repeated, “Shut up Macon. I swear if you-”
But he interrupted her. “I’m pretty sure that guy who saved you must have been great. Not to mention, NO ONE LIKE ME !” he was yelling now. “I can only be mean to you now because what else am I supposed to do!? You turned down my help everytime and look where it’s got you! So I give up!”
