Just to let you know, the crow is not real. The crow is a kind of mediator that Addison sub-consciously created to explain how he understands The Wooden Man/scarecrow. I don’t know if Tad or Stovo had that in mind, but it is what it is. I mean, come on! What kind of talking crow could convince someone to murder!
Anyway, this has been an awesome series, even only a few parts long.
But, just to clarify, The Wooden Man/scarecrow is real, the crow isn’t.
Oh, by the way, most of the ficlets before this were in present tense. This one is in past tense. I’ve read books like that before, ones that switch to fit the mood – I guess I’m just wondering if that was on purpose or not.
I’m really not sure, but I think it fits the mood. I think we have done this with our other series, Stovo, that you just do whatever you want so each of us has enough room to work.
