I have to start by saying I love that video, as well as the song. This was such a great, fun piece. I liked how you describe the “faux tears” that Visine gives Eve, and of course the name you chose for your heroine was divinely inspired (pun intended!). Your writing is always so original.

Jenunique, another shining example of why you are one of my favorite writers on the site! Hilarious and with a point. By the way, I have a man-crush on Phil Collins and any musician who can do lead vocals while drumming. Also interesting is how the world’s still in the same situation, the bands singing about it are so freaking different. I mean, who would have expected Disturbed to cover Genesis?

BTW , if I hadn’t started playing Rock Band on my XBOX 360 , I would’ve never realized how hard it is to drum, albeit in my nerdy video game sort of way.

I have to add this: I loved the song the first time around and I love it even more now (I’ll always be a rocker at heart.) I was showing the original to Jenson last night when the shock of the political similarities hit me right in the middle of the forehead like well aimed spitball. (Have I mentioned that I have viscious Inspiration Faeries? ;) )

Drummer’s who sing deserve all the respect in the world. Anyone who can swing drumsticks rhythmically without biting off the end of the tongue is a hero! :D
