This is well written, Stovohobo, but what intrigues me most is that I had a dream very similar to this last night. I heard the Twilight Zone theme music as I read it! I remember waking up & thinking it should become a ficlet… Great descriptions and I really like how you format your stories for smooth reading.

Hearing something like this from a personal point of view makes it all the more heartbreaking. Very well written.
