Later on that day, I went to school and saw Lauren walking by before school started. She stopped by me and hugged me.
“I just wanted to tell you… I’m here for you…” she said.
I stood there, feeling bad. I didn’t want her to feel bad for me. After she left, I saw James and Christian walk over. They wouldn’t stop asking me about what happened yesterday. Apparently, my parents called all my friends to see if they knew where I was.
“Where did you go?” James asked.
“No where. Just had to get out…”
“Dude, you know how worried everyone was. You could have at least told one of us. None of us would have told your parents.” Christian said. “We know how crazy your parents are.”
“Yeah…” I replied.
After a while, the bell rung and we all went to our first class. And of course, I had to deal with Emily. Oh great.
“Ryan!” she yelled and hugged me. “Where did you run off yesterday?!”
“I don’t want to talk about it.”
Teacher told everyone to take a seat and Emily was forced to sit somewhere away from me…. for now.
