Inspecting the Cabin

When the pain in my head temorarily subsides, my vision improves a little as well. I begin to scan the cabin for clues, or anything that would jog my memory as to what happened.
Coming up empty handed I move to the other side of the room. Nothing even remotely strikes me of any interest.

I pause for a moment to see if I can hear footsteps from overhead. But it is difficult to concentrate, due to the sound of the waves crashing against the boat.

My head begins to ache again, It makes me feel flogged with fatigue. Listening to my body’s signals, I find the makeshift bed on the oposite side of the cabin. Once standing over it I lie on the bed and rest my aching head on the lumpy pillow.

As my body begins to rest against the lumpy bed and pillow, my mind starts to relax. I am no longer worried about finding clues. My internal need for rest takes over .Before I know it, I am half asleep. Sleep does not come easy though, due to the dull ache gnawing at my brain. My body finally finds sleep.
