While I feel the Bible – assuming that’s what you meant by “GOD’S WORD ” – has literary merit and the occasional good advice (I’m fond of the sentiments in Matthew 5, myself) – I tend to prefer more recent fiction. Not Lahaye (or Falwell), whom I haven’t read because they have no appeal to me. No, I prefer something by PKD or DeLillo. Or I was going to settle in with some Michael Moorcock for light reading tonight.
