She Knew the Truth 20
I woke up in my bed. Where was Samantha. Was that all a dream? Am I loopy or something? I reached for my forehead where there was a lump and I felt even sicker to my stomach. Samantha was long gone but what had happened? I’ve been blacking out too much lately. Then, my door opened. It was my little brother Tommy.
“What are you doing here? Your supposed to be at Mike’s house!” I said.
“I came home to get my skateboard when I saw another girl tackling you,” he said. “I saved you!”
“What did the girl look like?”
“I couldn’t see her hair was all in her face!” Yeah, that was Samantha alright.
“Thanks Tommy, but you have to swear not to tell mom!”
“Why?”
“Because I said so!”
“Fine, I’m going back to Mike’s house!” Tommy ran out of the room and slammed the door. This was one of those times when something bad happens to you and your too afraid to say anything about it. Kids who are so insecure and scared are like that. I’m one of those kids.
