Ana Cristina’s alarm jolts her awake, Bono’s voice informing her that it’s A Beautiful Day. Already captivated by beauty she walks to the closet, wondering what to wear on this perfect day, the first day of summer vacation.

She flips her iPod dock station on, setting it to random and finds her answer. Taking the advice of Cake, she dresses in A Short Skirt (And A)/Long Jacket.

She considers breakfast as the next song in the playlist begins. As Jack Johnson sings about Banana Pancakes she begins to whip up a batch.

Breakfast out of the way Ana Cristina decides a little procrastination is in order and what better place to put things off than ficlets. She decides to write a ficlet about summer and wavers between allowing herself to be inspired by Summer Time by D.J. Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince, Doin’ Time by Sublime, or School’s Out by Alice Cooper.

Once again her iPod offers its own inspiration playing Take To The Sky by Tori Amos. She smiles. It really is going to be A Beautiful Day!
