Other than the inclusion of one of my most hated bands, and the woman who tortured a Nirvana classic, this was an excellent entry into this challenge.
I just had to knock a star off for U2 and Tori Amos though.

Well, this morning I was listening to Tori Amos’s “Take to the Sky” so you got one right, which honestly, is a little spooky… :p I love this.
Though shame on John Perkins for dissing Tori Amos and U2. And if your reference to the woman dissing a Nirvana song is referring to Amos’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit,” I just have to say… [blows raspberry].

Yes, her “Smells Like Teen Spirit” cover was atrocious. It still haunts me to this day.
It is my understanding that I am also in the minority with my distaste for U2. Then again, my wife hates Mr. Bungle, and I love them. Music is kind of cool in that way; it is incredibly subjective.

Hmm, haven’t heard of Mr. Bungle. I’ll have to check them out. I agree that what makes music cool is how everyone has such different tastes. This challenge is proof of that!

Really good chance you won’t like Mr. Bungle. You’d probably want to start with California though, as their other albums are… weird.
Did Tori Amos cover other Nirvana songs that I’m not aware of? I only heard the one. Never mind, don’t tell me. I don’t think I want to know. ;-P
