Sides...
Tyler had gotten dangerous. Netto and I had decided to leave Tyler to faint in the park. I felt a little guilty about it, but I guess during our two years after a trust for each other had stretched as far as the distance that was between us during those two years.
We took Netto’s cool motor bike to the underground home about four and a half miles away from the center of Rade, where the House of Elders was located.
The entire place served as headquarters for Netto and I. It was pretty small, it had a computer and a TV that were both connected up to Rade’s feeds, it had concrete rooms that we used to test out our experiments, a kitchen where we would cook the food we steal, and a small room with a couple of cots for us to sleep on. It would also serve as a great bomb shelter.
I went to our bedroom and sat on my cot, thinking about how I could get Tyler back back on my side. Well…maybe we are, but have different goals.
Netto walked in. “C’mon, kid.” He said. “We got work to do.”
I nodded and followed him.
