Unexpected [paint a picture challenge]
The woman carefully took her left hand off the book, now holding it with her right. She reached towards a strand of black hair that had fallen across her brow. Slowly she brushed it behind her ear where it stayed for maybe 15 seconds.
Her hair was that exact high-gloss shade of black, that shimmers purple in harsh light. Her left ear was pierced by a tiny silver speck and the rimless reading glasses she wore were perched on the front of her nose.
She was wearing a simple red dress, that was slowly riding up her thighs as she shifted on the plastic bench. It had almost but not quite reached the point where one could see the button of her suspenders.
Her legs were crossed, right over left, and she was dangling a red patent leather open-toe sling-back from her immaculately painted toes. The label had fainted but the letters .MY CH. were still legible.
She moved, finding a french-fry and absentmindedly she dipped it first into the ketchup, then into the egg and then she opened her toothless mouth and sucked.
