“I am torn asunder by your oblivion.” and “I am set adrift in the sea of your indifference.” are my favorite lines. This was such a heart-wrenching and real description of wanting what you can’t have.
Fantastic entry into the challenge. Younger versions of myself (middle school TBS , high school TBS , college TBS ) would have definitely related to the sentiment of this poem. Oh, the agony of unrequited love.
I like the, “I am set adrift in the sea of your indifference” line. I’ve filled the sea of indifference before and on the other end of the spectrum I’ve swam in it, so that line really got to me.
