On the Run
“Well, I’m gunna go to bed.” Ally said with a yawn. “It’s been a long day.” John watched her get up and walk towards her make shift room in the shack that they were staying in for the time being. He wished they could find a better place to stay, but for now this was the best they had.
Ally layed down on the floor, her blond hair covering the area around her. “Yeah it has been a pretty long day. I think I’m gunna call it a night, too.” John replied as he walked into his room and layed down on the floor.
John and Ally had grown up together from the age of 5 to the age of 20. They were practically family to each other now. John thought about the first day of k-5 when they had met and slowly drifted off to sleep as he thought about it.
Ally sat up screaming, a cold sweat running down her face. She looked around the room, horrified, and saw John run in. “Ally? What’s wrong?”
“I had the dream again. They’re coming, John.”
“Start packing. We need to get out of here.” The two of them got started.
