One comment though, why does she hiss at Jacques? It makes it seem like she’s mad at him for some reason. It’s a quizzical choice of expression given what seems to be their romantic history together.

I understood hiss to mean that she was speaking in an urgent but low voice. So in that context, it makes sense.

I love how confounded Jacques is when he hears Roland is in the castle. And I love Roland’s arrival. The suspense is getting thick. Let the battles begin!
