I walked out of the dressing room and out to Joe who was standing around the entrance.
“Let’s go,” I said.
“What are you gonna get her?”
“A gift care, smart one!”
“Good Idea!” We flew down the highway and pulled up easily into Joe’s driveway. I didn’t know why but I had a feeling that something was going to happen. Something bad. Something bad at Miley’s party. That would be all Nick and I would need.
I sat on the back porch. The sun was setting and it was beautiful. I didn’t know about Miley’s party and I didn’t know why I wasn’t in a good mood. It had been a long day and I didn’t want anything to get jumbled up again. The sun seemed as if it were falling behind the horizon. Streams of light covered up the darkening sky. As soon as the last bit of light disappeared, the stars started to twinkle. The moon was full and the sky was a navy blue. I took a deep breath, hoping that the moment would last forever. At that exact moment everything was peaceful, no worries no responsibilities. Just for now…....
