“You had to ask her to come over, now,” Isaac grumbled. Eve lay her phone on the table, “You know, you suck,” she said calmly. “She called to say that Josh is missing.” With that Eve turned abruptly and went to her room to change into her day clothes.
Isaac sat stunned for a moment. His brain tried to wrap itself around a missing Joshua. Josh never left his apartment. He worked from home and had everything delivered. A webcam was the only proof anyone had he was a real person.
Eve came back in jeans and a t- shirt, sweat shirt tied at the waist, normal working attire. “How long has he been missing,” Isaac asked. She shrugged, “Maggie said she went by to see him and his paperbox was full. Probably a few days,” she sighed. “The last message I had from him was strange.”
Isaac felt icy fingers run up his spine, “He sent it to you too?” Eve sat down, “The one about online gaming? Why?” He shook his head, “Did you read the whole thing?” Eve grunted, “No. CT’s are one thing, complete paranoia is different.”
