Great. I’m very surprised by the sequel response from this. I’ve said this in the previous ficlets, but: I’ve been planning things for this series all day long, and yet all these additions keep with the same tone, mood, and even the basic storyline I had.

I love the details, like the words characters use and the way they refer to things. The way Jack calls the narrator an ‘it’ chilled me a little.
