Fine Day in Hell 5
The Seeker roared his displeasure. Clearly, waiting was not something they did. With a searing touch that burned my flesh, I was hauled out of the cave with Benjamin ensnared into the other talon.
“I haven’t agreed, yet,” he shouted.
“I don’t think they care, Benny-boy!” I smirked.
“You promised to help me, right .. you’ll tell me the story,”
“Yes. The story must continue,” I said.
The story had to continue. Or else redemption was impossible.
With an incomprehensible command, a ring of fire rose from the brimstone, that acrid taste of sulphur coated my tongue. I spat. But it was all in vain. Inside the ring was a vortex. That was the gateway. That was the key! That had been my quest for 200 years less a day. The way to the Undercity.
Despite the burning welts on my flesh, I allowed myself to be pushed through, and as the hot winds of Hell’s Magic surrounded me, and pushed me down into the depths of the abyss, tears flowed from my eyes as I cried tears of joy for the first time in 2 centuries.
