Things Always Happen for a Reason, P.6
I heard him, but I couldn’t see him. My whole body had shut down, I couldn’t see myself or anything. Just white. Involuntary shivers ran up and down my spine. I didn’t know what was bringing this on and by the way I felt, I didn’t want to. I was scared, fright held every part of my body.
Then it was over, my body sagged, my eyes returned to their original color. I looked around me confused, I wasn’t on his lap anymore. It took me a minute to figure out that I was standing in my kitchen. “Oh,” I said looking up into his eyes as he stared at me, worry clouding his perfect features.
I looked down at my hands and traced the scars on them with my eyes. The palms had all five elements in a circle, telling exactly what powers I had. A weird squiggly line for levitation, a droplet of water for the controlling of water, three lines each parallel from each other. Another was the look of
fire, saying that I was a pyro artist. Last was the little drawing, a leaf saying everything plant was under my control.
