Things Always Happen for a Reason, P.7

The one thing the man had missed was my visions and my uncanny ability to enter someone’s mind. I looked up at him again, he looked tense as if something was going to attack at any moment.
“Sorry.” I whispered quietly, my eyes began to tear and I looked away. Before I could stop the tears he was over at my side wrapping cold marble arms around me.
“What do you have to be sorry about?” He asked soothingly, he lightly rocked us back and froth while his arms crushed me to his chest.
“Everything.” I answered, my voice was muffle by his chest which now I had pushed my head into.
“You have nothing to be sorry about.” His voice was firm and confident.
“Ha,” I scoffed aloud. “If I hadn’t been such a ditz, whatever it was that hit our car wouldn’t have happened. I wouldn’t have bled, and you wouldn’t be blaming yourself.” My voice was no longer muffled, I’d pushed away to look him strait in the eyes.
I watched his eyes cloud with anger. “That was not your FAULT !” His eyes showed disgust for what I had said.
