You have completely lost your mind Alex thought as he walked into the news stand. He stopped in front of the large magazine rack and looked over the selection as something from Duran Duran played softly throughout the store.

Then, there it was. Omni Magazine. Bigger than life. His heart leapt for joy as he picked it up, it was like running into a long lost friend.

Oh yeah, check the cover. June… “1984!” He blurted it out loud enough that everyone turned, briefly, to see what all the commotion was about.

He just looked down, sheepishly and opened the magazine. It was all there, everything that he remembered. Artwork from HR Giger, a story from William Gibson, Q&A, Continuum, everything.

“Hey!” the clerk shouted, “buy it or leave. You can’t read it here.”

Alex had to have the Omni. He looked in his wallet, not much there. No way the big head Lincoln $5 would fly, but the $1 bills didn’t look that different.

Alex took his change and the Omni. The FBI was gonna have fun with those 2003 bills.
