I'd Rather...

Kazuma noticed the worried expression on my face, and assured me quickly.

“He’s probably just busy with the computer firm he’s handling,” my brother said, and I reluctantly agreed.

I clicked my tongue in annoyance. Something didn’t add up. Man, I’m starting to sound like Hercule Poirot. Suspicious of every little thing.

Maybe I am getting a little paranoid. Speaking of missing people…I hadn’t seen Ryuuki in a while.

Our sedan glided over the road beautifully, and I wondered what the heck Kazuma had fiddled with to make it run like a first – class Mercedes.

Actually, on second thought, I don’t really want to know.

We zoomed past the school, and I caught a glimpse of a familiar blue – eyed lycan at the entrance.

Speak of the devil, I smirked. Well, more like, think of him.

When we got home, Coco didn’t waste time in jumping over me and knocking me into the couch.

She licked my face thoroughly, but, then again – I’d rather be caught in a wildebeest stampede than to face my father again.
