Alex in Wonderland - Part 6

Alex strolled down memory lane that was the Wonderland Mall. Across from the arcade, a huge line formed in front of the movie theater. The sign at the front of the line read “Ghostbusters.â€? He also noticed movie posters for “Gremlins,â€? “The Karate Kidâ€? and “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.â€?

“No time for love Dr. Jones.â€? Alex kept his voice low to avoid being noticed. “Time for some ostrich riding,” he continued into the arcade.

The arcade was exactly as Alex had remembered. It was dingy with horrible carpet. The only light sources were a few neon signs and the glow from the monitors shining. Most of the light being trapped by the kids huddled tight around the machines.

The Donkey Kong and Pac Man machines were right at the front, grabbing the largest crowds. Ok, where’s the Joust? He strolled through the throngs of excited kids looking for his game. Ahead, hidden in the back corner, he saw the Joust machine. He was in luck, no crowd. Just one person playing.

The girl from my booth at Casa Grande?
